have you tried bleeding one of the injector pipes at the injector? Might still be some air in the pipes.

Hi Dave,
I’ve used a full can of easy start trying to get it going and I’ve had absolutely no luck... with the easy start and pumping the accelerator I get a little bit of hope but after 3 seconds or so all power is lost, revs drop to naught and cuts out again, I have someone hopefully coming tomorrow with a Volvo diagnostic kit to see if that picks up anything more than what I already know... I’ve had 3 mechanics (friends) come and diagnose a problem and mechanically they say everything is as it should be, all baffled as to why it’s not starting... Due to never really working on a car like this before I have no experience to compare it to... A diesel expert suggested a battery issue as the car had been standing a few months before me purchasing it but following his advice I still have no luck, The car feels as though it wants to start, for whatever reason it just isn’t... Thanks again all, if anyone has any other suggestions I’ll gladly try before this guy comes with a volvo diagnostic, Cheers Tyler |

I'm not an expert, but can it be the transponder? I've heard (and experienced) spooky things after battery outages.
Have you tried to do a battery reset (disconnect - wait - correct order to reconnect)? It's just an idea, as all "normal" things seem to be checked...

Good shout paddy. It know that ring aerial problems will give just such symptoms. I am sure this can be checked with Vida and certainly this would be my next step. Also have you tried another key?

Thanks both for response
Unfortunately for me yes to both your suggestions... i really am at the end of my wits with it I think haha, I just feel as though I’m edging closer to drawing the line at throwing money at the thing if I’m honest, I have a feeling it’s going to be something really silly or stupid as there are literally no faults on the reader, the work that’s been done has been stripped back and checked twice over... My last hope is the guy comes tomorrow with his Volvo reader and it flags something up but I’d be suprised if it does.. Gonna keep going tinkering with it for now when I get chance Thanks for the suggestions again 👍 |

Then it's clearly getting no fuel. Check fuel lines and injectors. Are you getting electrical pulses to the injectors? Are you getting fuel to the injectors?

According to Vida it’s now a CEM water corrosion issue...
Something to to try I suppose! I’m not sure how this would effect fuel etc as I haven’t really looked into but it I’ll be giving it a go |

hi, get somebody to crank the engine over, open the fuel pipe at the injectors one at a time. the fuel should come out then lock it up and do the rest. that way you know your getting fuel up. if not you’ll have to look at fuel relays. is there a fuel cut off switch? This can be activated if the car thinks it’s been in a crash. are there any codes coming up?.
