Default Gearbox fault...

Today I topped up my gearbox after installing a new valve body. Went a drive and everything was smooth no banging or harsh downshifts... I parked the car up for a hour then went to take it down to the garage to check the car over ect... The car went into reverse coming out my drive way and won't go I to any gear.... After many tries the car moved a few metres forward then stopped again. I did not have my laptop at home to adapt/reset the gearbox.
Think the gearbox is playing up due to me not resetting it? Will try another flush and reset when I get time...

I highly doubt it. Your symptoms are far too severe for it to be just that.

I'm basing that opinion also on the fact that some members have said in their posts that they haven't always gone through the adaption process after flushing and none reported anything like the behaviour you're experiencing.

Are you certain you have the correct fluid level? Is it possible you've leaked during the test drive?

I cleaned the whole area of gearbox and all parts taken off.... All still dry and no leaks. I had the car running and oil temp at 127 degree Fahrenheit and done the drain u till it dropped..... I will try another drain and top up. These should take around 3L is that correct?

Today I emptied the gearbox and put in 4L of fresh oil..... Still no drive. Well it did seem to catch a gear but soon slipped out.

I'm lost.... As after i installed the new valve body and put in fresh oil it drove like a dream... I drove it for a few miles and seemed to be like a new gearbox, smooth as silk!

Could this be an electrical issue? All seems to be ok looking at the live data but no lock up?
