I’ve wound down the 260mm that my less than trustworthy Haynes manual suggested, but no visible bolts through the rubber covers. I tried increments of 20mm all the way up and down, but no luck. Any suggestions?

And also, where is the cheapest place to get a replacement lock mechanism?

Thanks all.
there are no bolts just a plastic tag in the hole through the glass , just push it in gently with a screwdriver whilst someone eases the glass up , do the same on the other end ..

That’s great thanks Clan. How far down does the window need to be?

down to the prescribed height which is when the release tabs line up with the holes on the door panel ,
( the black plastic holes about an inch diameter with a sealing flap in the middle ..)

According to Vida the rear window is 250 mm as measured from the bottom,

Although this video is the front it might be of some help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vIZmJFqoDKk

Thanks everyone so far. My mistake was measuring the window down from the frame, not up from the bottom. Will try again once I’ve ordered a lock mechanism.

make sure you research how to get the outer handle and hidden screw out there is a knack to it . a first timer will have trouble for sure .

The outer handle was fine, but the cable running through it from the handle button... where is this disconnected?

you take the black inner handle frame out with the whole door mechanism and inner panel.. as i said tricky unless you have the vida instructions in front of you , certainly not a job for the novice .

Not sure exactly what you mean ?
Here are the other instructions from Vida.........My Vehicle profile though, use this and refer to the video link and fingers crossed you might be sorted....

You can get the Vida software separately from the dice unit and run it on your PC.......loads of info.
