No heating and large amount of water in front of windscreen
Volvo 2.4D 08 plate V70
Hello all 1. heating has completely disappeared. car not overheating and heated seats fine (thankfully). was thinking perhaps radiator flush needed? 2. When I turn a corner after heavy rainfall there is a noise coming from the front of the windscreen somewhere in the bulkhead of a lot of water swishing around. I'd imagine this is due to some debris in there and because the sound of water only really happens after having heavy rainfall, I assume it seeps out eventually. Does anybody know on this particular model how to access the compartment where the debris may be? Perhaps this could be a reason why it affects the heating also? I have had a quick look under the bonnet but not being very mechanically minded, haven't wanted to unscrew anything. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

There is a Volvo bulletin at the bottom of page 2 for the cure of water in the bulkhead. The no heating will need investigating. - Is that because there's no heat in the matrix? If so is that because there has been a leak ( is that part of your sloshing bulkhead water) Or is it because there is an electrical fault due to the water ingress and the control of the heater valve is out of service? Or is there air in the system?(If there is that definitely needs investigating), HTH Cheers Dave |
