Question Oil Leak at the engine exit?

Last one for today (yesterday was a busy day)

I have been noticing recently that a part of my engine close to the engine exhaust is always dirty with oil... I have a suspicion that it was the last person to change my oil filter who accidentally must have touched it the wrong way and somehow it is leaking oil now... what could be the problem? - It is not a serious problem as it has been ongoing for a year and it's not that much oil, but it is definitely not normal...

Any ideas?

It's common on the diesels for this to happen. Due to the oil fumes and vapour being put back into the intake system to meet emissions standards. Eventually it'll bung the throttle flap up so should ideally be stripped down and cleaned up.

Thanks Mattievrs! I will unplug it a.s.a.p and clean it up. I saw some people using "petroleum ether" (source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFVyhrC40eY ) any idea what they are referring to?
