Iphone app Volvo on Call

Has anyone got the iphone app for accessing Volvo on call? It looks pretty good allowing you to lock the car, locate the car with google maps, view various bits of telemetry and even set off the alarm remotely. My xc90 was new 6 months ago yet it doesnt seem to work with this app as it seem to only work with MY2012 at the mo. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has got it working with their car and also if anyone could tell me the difference between a MY2011 and 2012 that might prevent mine from working.

The vehicle has to be equipped with a volvo on call telematics unit or it will not work

also it has to be a 2012 model year , just about coming on stream now .. , the software will be different and possibly firmware differences

Yes mine has volvo on call. Do you think that it would get a software/firmware update when it next goes in for service? I doubt there would be any fundamental hardware change.
