Default Pollen filler orientation.

Hi.
Can anyone show me the orientation of how the pollen filler fits in the housing please.
I have come to fit a new one and it is missing.
The new filter has a direction arrow on it but I can’t determine 100% which way the air flows.
Thanks.

On my v70, it bent in certain places, with that in mind, the bends (folds) actually helped me to fit it in, ie it slotted in easier, i just cannot remember which way, i am sure once you try you will see, heres an image from VIDA, see if it helps any?

Air flows from outside of the car to the interior, so the arrow should point in the same direction as air exits the filter into the ventilation outlets.

Mann Filters publish the fitting instructions for their filters, so look up the one for your car on their website and download the instruction sheet.

Thanks.
So does the arrow point towards the engine or to the inside of the car please?

I'm not conversant with the XC90, which is why I suggested looking upon the fitting instructions on Mann's website to be certain, but in general, air enters the car from outside and flows inside, so the arrow points towards the interior on all my vehicles.
