Default Timing belt changing intervals V50 1.6 Drive

Hi everyone,
Apologies if that has been asked in other threads, but couldn't find anything.

I recently bought a V50 1.6 DRive ( 09 plate). It has 104 000 miles on the clock. Also came with Volvo FSH.

My only concern is that I can not find any confirmation of the timing belt been changed.

There is a sticker on the engine cover saying that the belt was done @ 41 k, but when called the garage, they said that can confirm the service of that car, but don't have details was exactly was done!!!!! Of course they said : bring it in, we will sort it, saying that the car is overdue for belt change, as the service interval is 87500 miles.

As that is my second Volvo, I've called another Volvo garage ...... and they shocked me that the service interval for belt on my car is 120 k miles and doesn't need to be done in the next year or so.

So now to the straight question: What is the service interval for timing belt on D4164T engine?

Thank you in advance!

it is 10 years or 150000 miles which ever comes first … you may find the waterpump has a slight weep , they don't fail just weep sometimes ..
