Volvo S40 Strange Deadlock Noise??
Hi, just wondering if anybody has experienced the same problem, when i double lock the car, after about 20seconds you can usually here a sort of clicking noise which i think is the deadlock? Well instead of the click noise its making a loud screaching type noise? Thanks

May be the fuel filler door as this locks a few seconds after the car locks.

The fuel filler is only opened on these with a button press so it won't be that.

Can't tell you yet if its part of the central locking motor but will ask when i go back to get the other one done. The car still locks and unlocks in spite of the faulty deadlocks. I do get a warning message saying there is a problem with the locks when the electronic rear childlocks are enabled / disabled so probably best to get it done. You don't want passengers (maybe your kids) trapped in the car in an emergency. |
