Hi,

I could be wrong, but I think it'll be impossible to find mint doors for sale in the UK; almost all are rusty and any that are perfect will be on an A1 car, not for breaking.

A few suggestions:

If your inner frames are good, 240 door skins will fit your doors. There are some on ebay now. Let me know if you want the link.

I converted later rust free 240 doors for my 164. This involves converting them to the separate window frame with front quarterlights (easier than you'd think) and converting the latches to 100 spec (more difficult than you'd think - need to chop out the 240 latch section and accurately weld in the corresponding piece from the 100 door). There are photos on my 164 thread. If you want to see them, let me know and I'll find the page.... it's a very long thread!

If you're prepared to import, you may get some rust free doors from the hot and dry US states. Try turbobricks or brickboard.

I'm also converting to later 240 door but going about it in a different way by welding in the catch on the pillar so future door swaps will be simple bolt on job. I'm also leaving the 240 window frame as is and keeping the single pane of glass to avoid the quarter window issues.

If you want to stay original then repairing the doors is almost certainly the only option other than importing a set of doors.

Hi.

New door skins are available in Sweden! Klokkerholm (Danish company) produce new skins www.mekonomen.se sell them in Sweden. But be aware their catalogue is wrong, I bought a skin front left to my 144 -73 but the skin
was for -74 and 240 series. But as John wrote if your inner frames are ok these may be ok with a little rebuild to fit 73 with separate windows.
