Default Delivery Delays in UK port

Is anyone currently experiencing long delays once their new car arrives in the UK port?

Our XC60 was built on the 1st November (this was delayed as estimated delivery date was originally 28th October) and the dealer after chasing them advised that our vehicle is in the UK port but unable to advise what the delay is or provide a new ETA. It’s been there for almost a month now with no delivery date into the dealer.

I had this with my XC60 in October it was stuck at the port in the uk for about 3 weeks. Could be to do with the RMT union but no one could give me any sort of update. Best bet is get your order ref or vin number and call Volvo UK customer care. The dealers have very little input into delivery schedules

I have tried to contact Volvo Customer Care but as we ordered from a dealer they are advising they are unable to assist and to contact the dealer.

We have our order number but the dealer hasn’t shared the VIN number yet. We have had to chase for updates every step of the process so will have to request the VIN number too!

Thanks for your advice and hope you’re enjoying your XC60?

I had the same problem when getting my car 3 years ago, so I don't think this is anything particularly new, or necessarily impacted by the current union strikes. It's bloody frustrating though, as it feels like the car is so near, yet so far! Fingers crossed you get it soon

Ordered XC60 Recharge Plus on 8th March. Built early December and currently on it way. Delivery showing 13th Jan. So 10 months for me in Scotland, UK.

I have the vin number now but the app has changed so I don't think you can now see where it is.

Seems there are still backlog delays.

My XC90 has been sat at UK Docks for about a week now, even Volvo Customer Services can't tell me when it will move to the Dealers.

Default Delays in U.K. port

My xc90 T8 has been stuck at the U.K. port for a month now. Fleet, Care and the dealer seem to be doing nothing about it… anyone know what’s going on? I have a VIN number, so it’s definitely been built. And is apparently here…

No, it doesn’t does it. 5 days to get here after completion, 28 days sitting in the U.K. docks. Really unimpressed. Especially as I was told by the fleet team it would be here first week of Feb. Now having to rent a car.
