V70 2007 P2 Headlights on
Does anyone have a guide or how to on turning these off? I have vida and would like to not have my headlights running constantly when im driving during the daytime etc

It is possible to disable the 'always on' daylight running lights, but as it's a legal requirement on newer cars (and quite sensible), it seems logical to leave them as they are, even though your car does not legally need them. It also means you can't forget to turn them on at night!

Many years ago I turned my headlights off too. Two days later they were back on. A motor bike pulled out on me, and fair does, he stopped to apologise, but remarked he did not see my silver car against the road, and said he thought all modern Volvo's drove with headlights always on.
My lights were back to always on next day. I've never had a repeat performance. Cheers Bob. |

I'm going to switch mine back on again. They do think twice about pulling out with them on.

dont turn them off they are a safety feature. If they cant miss you they might not crash into you

I don’t want hear about safety this safety that i want full control over my lights if i want them on or not its a pain while sitting in car with key in and the lights are on! Its just a pain all together! I know when to have lights on and when not to with reguards to weather conditions and lighting outside etc ive had my licence since i was 17 im now 28 and ive never had a crash and got 10years no claims!

Whilst changing my lighting preference was a 2 minute job on my 2002 using Vida, the function for facelift models was in a different part of Vida.
For a 2007 however, it may not even be available but seeing as you have Vida why not just look in the CEM Programmed Values or Advanced section?
