Default Car stuck in standby

I can't access the car through the app as it says the car is in standby. The car has been used today (and every day this week in fact). The mileage on the app also says 115913 and the actual is 116171, so it seems that the app has not been in contact with the car since probablh late last week.

Any ideas?

On the VOC app today, mine said the car was in use when it hadn’t been for a few hours. It had got stuck in some way.

I did 2 things but not sure which fixed it.

1. Put it into power mode and started it to ensure the ICE came on. Kind of “start it up properly” to ensure all systems were fired up!
2 Turned the car Internet connection off and then back on so as to reinstate the connection to the SIM.

Following that, the VOC app switched off the “car in use” and normal VOC functionality was restored.

There is a recent voc app update, version 4.12.2, try updating the app to see if that fixes it.

Thanks both. Will try that. For the moment though I now can't get into the app so that is another problem to sort......

I had the same issue last week. I deleted the app then downloaded and installed it again (Android Phone) and it works perfectly (to my surprise)

Perfect thanks! I just did the same, uninstall and reinstall and hey presto it is working again! It has updated the mileage and the car status.

Mine is an Android phone too. Samsung Galaxy S21.

Reading stuff like the above is starting to extinguish any thought I was having about ditching my hyper reliable P2 XC70 in favour of a V90 or XC90. I loved the XC90 I had on hire in the US, but I’m not convinced the SPA cars are as reliable as I’d be wanting.

I would not let that little glitch put you off, it was a problem with the phone app not the car, most problems are minor glitches, in this case a simple reinstall the app on the phone is all it required. The car still worked perfectly fine, it was just the info on phone app that had not updated.
