CVT gear change illumination

1996 440 1.8 I SE
The bulb which illuminates the CVT gear change has blown how do I get to it to replace it. I assume the handbrake tunnel and tunnel surrounding the gearchange/ashtray etc comes away, and then what? Any help to a new Volvo owner would be really appreciated. Thanks, PLK

hi if you havent done it by now you will have to undo the handbrake surround and ashtray ect to be able to get the console up to fit the new bulb will take about half an hour
