To be clear, I need a straight OBD to USB without the box in between? As per the eBay listing?

Thanks again

no , the Dice plugs into OBD socket and it has a usb lead to computer … It works with the Vida diagnostic and fault reading software

I am using this one for over 2 years now, works perfectly on any of the 4 cars I tested it on, and costs nothing. Works perfectly with Torque. A very handy think to have in glovebox IN ADDITION to having Vida+Dice in home.

Thanks LizardOfBodom.

I've just read and wiped code U1900 "CAN communication bus fault' using a Bluetooth dongle and torque pro. Just mentioning that for reference.

I plan to replace the 3 pairs of network wires etc as mentioned by Clan

Edit: Also worth noting is that the CEM fixing pins/screws aren't holding it in place particularly well. It's probably between bouncing around. Kick panel also missing under CEM. I should fix that too.

I've installed VIDA and am looking for the part numbers for the replacement items you mentioned earlier.

Which part numbers were you talking about?

I couldn't find the part number for the position sensor plug or the control/data wire either.

I've attached a couple of screenshots.

your pictures are of the plastic shell rather than the terminals , The current vida is much easier to determine the terminals needed ...

numbers for pedal terminals and housing are :

7 x terminals 30765498
1 x plastic housing 8690598

CEM plug terminals :

small 30656678

you need to determine which wires in the plug are the network wires , they are the ones twisted together ..

ask your parts man exactly what you want and let him use the above numbers as guide , the new vida has been out for 4 years now and numbers might have changed .
Make sure you get your trained volvo parts man to select the terminals for you , any mistakes will be his then not yours .
