Default External temp sensor wiring

I had noted, early on in my ownership of the Celebration that there was some wiring with a blank plug at the front of the engine bay. hanging right next to the radiator.I took this,as being the place I would connect the external temp sensor to.However,I had to have a new radiator fitted by an Independent garage. But the wiring o the sensor has disappeared, having imported a gauge and sensor from the USA.
I have underneath the car at MOT time and could not see it,and removed the plastic housing around the top of the rad.But still I can't see it.Any ideas which direction it comes from to help me trace it?God only knows what they did with it.

The wiring for that is on the loom that the horns are on. Although I think it depends on year. That's where mine is on my 96 car

I'm fitting one soon but putting off due to my fear of removing the metal surround on the instrument cluster. Couldn't budge the one on my breaker car and ended up breaking it

Both ends of the wiring for the external temperature gauge are usually taped back out of the way. The two-pin connector at the sensor end should be covered with a protective plastic cap. On the two cars I have fitted gauges to the last six inches of the sensor wiring was folded back towards the passenger compartment and was a little bit hard to see at first.

The metal surround for the dash is removed by pushing the metal spring clip back using a small screwdriver inserted through the small holes on either side. You can do this a side at a time. With the clip pushed back pull the surround forwards with just finger pressure. Very little force is required if the clips are manipulated correctly.
