Default Spare wheel for a V90 MHEV

Hi all,

I've got a V90 B4 MHEV which has the inflation kit in the boot, but I'd prefer a spare wheel, even a space saver. I remember reading in a thread on here some time ago (which I can't find now) that a dealer had advised an owner that you can't get a spare wheel for the MHEV models because the space is occupied by the 48v battery, but a google search comes up with a handful of companies offering a suitable spare wheel for sale that appears to fit over the battery. Anyone know for sure?

Indeed, it was an option. I have a MY23 V90 Cross Country B5 MHEV and I opted with the space saver spare wheel option, which was a not too expensive option.

So the boot can definitely fit a space saver under the lid.

When I was looking at swapping my old V60 D4 for a B4, the dealer forgot to add the spare to the order. They said you could just swap the kit from the old one over, I said what about the 48v battery so we compared the two and the B4 battery is the other way up with different surround and packaging. But it definitely fits over the battery.

If I remember correctly it was a ~200 Pounds option… it’s definitely worth it.

Here we go then, thanks to the great people at Parks Motor Group, this arrived less than 48 hrs after ordering:

Fits nicely over the battery and looks like it's always been there.

If anyone's looking for one, this is what I bought https://shop.parks.uk.com/products/v...el-mild-hybrid Came with the jack, wheelbrace, polystyrene piece and the bit that screws in the centre of the wheel to hold it in place.

Not really sure what I'm supposed to do with this now though , guess I'll find somewhere to store it...
