Default P reg V70 2.5 20 valve automatic. £450. Rainham. Essex.

I've been agonising about selling this, because it's one of those cars I've really bonded with, but I've been offered another Volvo, so here goes.......

V70 2.5 20 valve of 1997 vintage. It's the CD model.
MOT until June 11th.
It's a sort of smoky silver with black leather.
Most of the toys work, but some don't i.e. headlamp levellers, headlamp wipers and cruise control. I fitted a replacement column stalk, but alas, cc still no worky. I haven't investigated further because it really doesn't bother me. I only use it for work, and that's only 15 minutes away.
It could probably do with a belt sooner rather than later. It has a new battery after a failure to proceed at Stansted Airport a couple of weeks ago.
Uses no oil or water and never ever overheats. Service history lost by previous owner. Slight shimmy when braking, but according to the chap I bought it from, it had new front discs and pads.
It comes with a load cover and full size steel spare.
It has later XT wheels on it, but I still have the originals if required.
Some pics. They were taken last summer in a very dusty field during an airshow. The old girl shines up nice though.

And finally, one pic with the later wheels on:

By the way, it failed last years mot on both outer cv boots and a useless handbrake. The garage did the boots, and I did the handbrake with new shoes and cleaned and lubed the expanders. I got it up to mot standard, but please bear in mind this may need further fettling for the next test.

I'd love a T5 auto, if there's anyone who fancies do a deal.
It's a long shot I know, but if you don't ask etc. etc.

Sorry, meant to update this. I'm keeping it now. I don't think I'll find another this nice for a long tine. Mileage is immaterial to me, as long a car's been looked after, as this one has.

Thread resurrection time.

I've been offered an 850 T5 at the right price, so I can let this go for £400 if anyone's interested.

I've got to be quick though, the T5 seller would like it shifted asap.

By the way, I don't know if I mentioned this before, but the screen has a chip in it. It's perfectly round. I've been to where I have my mot's done, and they said it's ok, it won't fail the mot.

Sorry for the late response.

I still have it but.... All the cars I was interested in have now been sold, so I still need it for work duties.

Mileage is 166,750-ish, will rise though, but not by much.

13 months mot as of yesterday.

No worries, am interested, could work out better for both of us, as need to shift on at least one myself lol, could you pm me a number for a casual chat if you are still planning on selling in due course? Tia ☺
