Default Nice Amazon 122s For Sale

Up for sale is my 122s I restored about eight or nine years ago. She's been a great car and was in daily use for about four years.

Sadly family has got in the way and so she needs to find a new home. I found her in a garage after twenty five years in captivity. There's extensive original documentation for the car and possibly some competition history. There's a fresh MOT too.

The engine has a big valve high compression head, twin SU's, 'd' cam, sports exhaust and an overdrive gearbox. You also get original Volvo lowered springs and sports damper kit.

The only thing you won't get is the alloy wheels as they're going back on my rally PV (the offset isn't quite right anyway). I'll find some nice original wheels and caps to complete the set.

The car is located on the Herts/Bucks border and you're very welcome to come and have a look. I really don't think you'll be disappointed!

So how much are you looking to get out of it?

(also a bump to get the Last True Mad Man's post of the top of the heap)

Thank you all for the positive comments, she's been a really great car, but I do have to cut down to just the one classic (PV).

I've seen such a range of asking prices out there but I think an Amazon in this condition has got to be worth in the region of £2,200 to £2,400.

The engine is really sweet - balanced, electronic ignition, metal timing gears, fully sorted electrics. Indeed, she'd make a great historic rally car too.

Can anyone identify what the non standard fusebox on the passenger bulkhead has come off (and where I can get one) please. I am just about to set to and sort the electrics on my car and this looks a neat way of doing it. Similar the (presumably) relay box on the passenger inner wing.
Thanks in anticipation of enlightenment!
A tidy looking motor.....

Smile Re: fuse and relay boxes

Hi Backyard racer,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you about the electrical boxes. As it's been nine years since I restored the car my memory couldn't quite place where they came from.

Anyway, I've now been through the rather thick pack of receipts and have found that they came from demon tweeks. There are no real details just part numbers a/efbb16u for the fuse box and a/erb4u for the relays

I hope this helps!

PS I'm afraid the car is now sold
