Panda Cola was the cheap brand by us. Pretty grim.

Interesting to hear perceptions from other countries/continents. Companies spend millions on establishing a brand perception and clearly what works in one country does not work in another.

In the UK the number of large, good quality SUV style cars, eg XC60, is relatively limited. Volvo sell well over here because it is a very good product in a limited option market. My small experience of the US is that there are lots of options in this segment and so if you don't get your sales and marketing spot on then you will struggle.

Thanks ptrfram. Interesting stuff.

BMW, Audi and Mercedes are your Dairy Milk and Galaxy Chocolate bars! Absolutely everywhere with as man different varieties as you can think off.
Volvo and Lexus (at least in the UK) are more like Thorntons/Lindt/Belgian/Swiss chocolate bars. A nice alternative to the mainstream but something that most people would pass.
Your Ford/GM Vauxhall/Skoda Etc are the Supermarket own brand chocolates. Nearly as good as the German 3 but a lot cheaper.
Thing is Simon, using your example Thorntons (Your Volvo) chocolate is 10x dearer than say Dairy Milk (Your Mercedes etc) - although Volvo are not 10x dearer than Mercedes etc.

Do see your point though regards the choc scenario in so far as Thorntons is a bit more exclusive and 'classy' than the common Dairy Milk

Factually and seriously regards chocolate - check out Aldis chocolate - including the white choc - really nice and half the price of what you may normally choose.

Regards

So VR, what would the ALDI white chocolate be as a car?

I do quite like the White chocolate with the strawberry pieces in it.
