Thanks Jim. I notice this morning they carry a 'M&S' rating too, any ideas on tread life?
Did 260 miles yesterday at motorway speeds fairly loaded on 39psi, previous drift to the left has gone and tyre noise much reduced from the previous owner's 'iotas' Rgds Last edited by ted striker; Jul 17th, 2011 at 11:10. |

Sorry Ted, I've never had them myself. I remember my tyre fitter saying that a lot of Land Rover/Range Rover owners switch from standard Goodyears to the Pirelli Scorpions and are very impressed with them. He speaks highly of them too.
We have recently trialled a new Land Rover Discovery 4 at work, with a view to replace our BMW X5s. That was shod with Scorpions and was a lovely car to drive. |

Anyone have any experience of Yokohama Advan ST 235 60 18s, i have now changed all 4 tyres trying to get rid of a droning noise, i suspect i have spent alot of money 'diagnosing' a wheel or other bearing but the ngarage said that sometimes it can be the tyres?

Quieter and the front end feels better than the previous budget selection spread round the car. The drift to left much less pronounced. Will update for wet weather performance, suspect it'll be much better.

Hankook tyres.....
Hankook tyres are cheap and hard wearing. Had no probes in all weather including deep snow

I've just been told about Click On Tyres. They seem to be very competitive on prices. They sell the Vredestein, Grabber UHP, Cooper, Hankook, Maxxis and Avon. Vredestein out of stock at the moment.
Worth a look. http://www.clickontyres.com/ |

Will do - cheers. Did look at them before (& many others !)
Thinking the big XC maybe doesn't need winters? Prices seem awfully high right now ! |

Roy uses his Vredesteins all year round, Ron uses the Goodyear HP All Weather without problems too. If you are adamant about not having a winter tyre the General Grabber is well regarded, and it still performs very well in the snow. Jim. |
