Many thanks - that's interesting - I hadn't noticed the different colour but I can see it now.

As for the cat... well, I wouldn't know how to identify a buggered-up cat, so the fact that I've been silent is no proof that I didn't kill it on my way back from holiday...

My original Volvo cat did give up in 2010 and I was too skint to get a genuine replacement, so the one that is on there is non-Volvo I'm afraid.

Really the only way to know about a fubar'd cat is when you fail on emissions at the MoT... Fingers crossed you get away with it!
