Front end shunt
Hi all,
long story short I went into the back of someone this morning, very slow speed but the XC70 held up well, barely any damage to mine (city braking kicked in too) I have noticed the cruise control doesn't slow the car down anymore and the warning light in the window doesn't illuminate either. Is this just a case of the radar has moved? Thanks in advance, JK |

Don't know the answer but I would be looking round and seeing if anything is visibly broken, moved or loose.
Wonder if the car knows its had a bump and has thrown a fault code up which is part of the fault? Hopefully someone on here might know.

Can't see anything broken, I was driving home yesterday and the radar grabbed onto an HGV when I was fairly close but a "radar Blocked" message came up and cancelled the CC.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. John |

Just FYI the radar unit itself is behind the blob on the grille, if you can shine a torch and see behind the blob there should be a rectangular flat device, you may want to see if that looks like its shifted or has something blocking it.
I don't think it takes much for it to be blocked, I once had the radar blocked message and later saw the remnants of a very large bug splatter on the blob. |
