Unhappy Petrol leak filling up

My V70 is a 2002 model has done around 156,870 kilometers (I live in Spain), and when I fill up I get a big puddle of Petrol on the floor. I am not a engineer and am concerned about this.

The leak only happens when I fill up at no other time does this happen, thanks for you suggestions in advance.

if it is *only* when you fill up then it could be a crack in the filler neck

have heard of this happening on other vehicles and it was a new petrol tank to fix - not sure if this is independent of the petrol tank or not on these cars

Any Ideas of how I could check this out? Is it easy to get to? I have a Haynes Manuel but it does not give me information of how to check it.

Thanks for your quick reply by the way

David.

The crack will be higher up in the tank. I had this on a twin tank Jag where one tank had a hole near the bottom and the other had a hole about half way up. Range was interesting ie about 80 miles!!!
