Default S40 cutting out

Our S40 keeps cutting out approaching junctions and during low speed manouvers. It has been checked out by the local volvo dealer but no fault codes have been registered. The throttle housing has been cleaned. The vehicle is 1998R with FVSH for all its 71000 miles.

Anyone got any ideas?

Martin

Try searching for air leaks in the emission control system (e.g. loose or split rubber hoses). My 240 had the same symptoms a couple of years ago and it turned out to be merely a disconnected pipe from the plastic junction with the flame trap.

Good luck!
