Thumbs up Cylinderhead ready for collection!

At last my 531 cylinderhead is ready for collection - it was only a basic reconditioning job - cleanup, pressure test, skim, new valve guides & seats, etc., but I can't wait to get it back.

I'll be cutting some somender singh grooves in the head, and will be fitting the new chips shortly after that - should take output up to 240-250bhp with any luck, together with a BIG increase in torque (the chips are torque biased).

Timing couldn't be better as my cambelt is about due for renewal, and the HG has just started leaking... must be a sign, right?

Hehehehe oh yes! Ready to rock and roll!

Am interested to see what effect the somender singh grooves will have - hopefully more mpg! Torque should be massive with Fred's chips and the grooves - looking for 0-60 in around the 6.0 mark although I may be a tad slower than that due to the slushbox. Still have the M90 in the garage tho

I think you should make around six seconds but I personally think 240 hp is wildly optimistic, I was making 195 CRANK before I fitted that 3" exhaust and that was with a dodgy 02 sensor and a blocked cat. and a 3" exhaust doesnt amout to an extra 45 hp, no way.
