I had a look at the cat today and there is a sensor built into the cat and one on the down pipe so if i cut the cat out there will be nowhere to put the second sensor!! or am i missing something?

Quick update: cut the last box of the exhaust so now stainless straight after cat with no flange, took all plastic trim of all round and repainted satin black, found out my actuator was catching on the dreaded heat shield so sorted that, replaced top engine mount didn't realise the poly ones where easier so be changing it to one of them soon, and booked in for remap end of the month so all better now thanks guys for the info and recommendations

you can bench remap these no problem just take it out and undo a couple screws. I've watched my remap guy do it twice with no issues.

(the tool wouldnt download the map via obd) potentially cos battery was low, the software on the laptop prevents any ecu reading writing if it thinks its going to run out of juice.

If you have a knowledgable tuner dont let bench flashing put you off but if youve never had a map / a friend as had a map of them then I would say go with the "known" guys
