Default jerky

Occasionally i get a jerky take away from lights etc not often enough to be a major problem but annoying i reported it at last service and they updated the softwear but still doing it anyone else experienced this its an auto so shouldn't be doing this. Also can the stop/start be switched off the default setting as i never use it. I would rather not have to switch it off every time i start car

What model, year and engine combination are we talking about here?

Unfortunately, the start/stop system by default is selected to on when the car is switched on, seems to be an EU/emissions thing so its switch it off every time you start the car as far as I know.

Mine is intermittent on the XC60; you can be driving for a week or two and no stop/start and then the next day when you drive start/stop is active again

LOL reminds me of my computer - every so often something changes but I swear blind I did not change anything!!

Always helps if you state what car/engine/year so people can help you, if you have drive modes and off road mode, put it in off road mode and drive until it reaches and passes the off road speed limit and it will automatically drop out of off road mode and revert back to comfort mode, this is reported to reset the gearbox learning. Worth a try.

If car is older or high mileage or has been used for towing a lot
Other causes of auto gearbox problems could be oil related, ie not enough or dirty, topping up or flushing and replacing often fixes many issues.
