I havejust replaced mine. I ordered 8 to replace them all. The ones that arrived were in two parts, the black clip that comes away with the trim and the white socket that remained on the door.

They came assembled and I had to remove the white parts from the door as two were broken. This was the most difficult part of the job and the trim clipped back in place very easily with the new clips. It fits better now than it has ever done.

Just wanted to add my thanks to tt82 for sorting out all this for me. I should of said thanks before now but the arrival of a new baby has taken most of my time.

Everything fitted a day or 2 after it arrived and has all worked fine since.

I have now fitted the module which was kindly sent to me by Tatsfield (many thanks for sending it so promptly).
Sadly this one doesn't seem to work at all. I checked all the connections at the weekend and then having plugged the module in tonight, it just clicks the lock mechanism. The boot works fine from the switch as normal but the remote does not close it - even after holding the button down for 10 seconds.

Any suggestions Evgeny?

That is very strange indeed, as on my 2012 XC70 it did close the hatch every time but when fitted, the hatch only rose halfway on opening on a first click and then the rest of the way with a second click. If your wiring is good then it looks like your 2016 V70 has different electronics to my XC70. Both the modules Evgeny sent ended up working this way although the first one, which you have, originally performed perfectly before degrading. I still have to boilerplate the wiring connections but it looks more and more like the modules are either wrong for your car or degrade on mine.

Hi Evgeny. I have a problem. I only have one module which I can send back - the one which Tatsfield sent me. When the original one was getting on my nerves on holiday in France, I disconnected it. At the time, the module did not come out of the door so I pulled the plug off and left it in the boot. When I then installed the one which Tatsfield sent me, I could not find the one which was already in the boot! It must be trapped in the boot door somewhere but I am damned if I can see it.
Is there nothing I can do with the DIP switches to make it work?
