Just to update on this thread - ordered a set for my xc60 and they were £23 from my local dealer.

Not sure i need them, but you all make very convincing arguments - and for £23 rather not have dirty clothes!

Many thanks for bringing this thread forward.

Totally unaware of this no-excuse omission by Volvo – this area should be closed off, end of.

Just checked my MY22 and lo and behold, no plastic covers fitted. (Compared to my previous MY11 XC90, this new XC60 is beginning to feel a bit cheap and nasty)
  • Are these plastic covers easily available through the usual Volvo OEM websites?
  • Do you need to remove the rear wheels to fit them?
  • Do you have to drill any of the metal bodywork for the screws?

Cheers

See fitting instructions on post 42

If you run your hand around the inside of the wheel arch and feel for 3 nuts, these are made of plastic and can be undone with your fingers, you now need to offer up the the new part, took me a while to work out which one went on what side. The bottom hole in the new guard needs to go at the bottom of wheel arch, you'll find 2 torx screw heads, remove the outer one and then fix the bottom hole of guard there using screw that you have removed.
Hopefully this hasn't over complicated things.
I didn't mine in the garage so had limited access.

Yes I would be interested in these too for a XC60 MY22.
I don't think there are official Volvo versions of these mud liners...anyone?
I would like to buy them for a MY22 but need Thunder Grey ones.
I did find this YouTube link showing fitting etc -

Thanks

Have a look at the start of this thread. There are various posted photos in the thread, they are black plastic, so car colour is irrelevant.

Thanks. Is Part Number 32288517 correct for MY22?

I got distracted by these colour coordinated ones but cost much more - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003239611581.html

The original post is over a year old, so if you're going to order from a dealer, I would check with them, they should be able to confirm. Or even if you're not going to order from a dealer, they should still be able to confirm.

Yes I have just sent the Volvo dealer the part number to check for MY22.
Thanks again.
