High-Speed Wiper
The high-speed wiper setting doesn't work, just goes very slow and jerky. Is it likely to be a problem with the motor itself, the wiring or the relay? The other functions are fine, but with the torrential rain we get more frequently nowadays the high speed is practically essential.
A related query: many years ago on my Morris Traveller I had a wonderful gadget called, if memory serves me, a Wiperdwell. which allowed a variation in the delay on intermittent. Somewhere I read about a relay for the 240 which would do much the same, I think it was a straight swap with the standard relay. Has any of you had one fitted? Any words of wisdom from you knowledgeable people would be very welcome. |

If the normal speed is working ok, I'd focus on the connections to the high speed brush inside the motor. There's a solder join to a braided cable that goes to the high speed brush, and it can become loose. The brush itself may also have broken up a bit and may need filed down to make good contact again.
