Did you get the special software from the dealer to update the car to accept USB maps? Do you have the world map on the button?

I didn’t get the software update from the dealer, but I didn’t realise I had to. What us the cost of that?

You really should talk to your dealers service department about it ... software download should cost no more that 20 minutes of labour + software + VAT of course . have you got the global world symbol on your wifi switch?

Default Update of Sensus sat nav

I have just contacted my local Volvo dealer to update Sensus so that I can update maps. They tell me that they need to get a module from Volvo to do this. I thought it was just a software fix! Can anyone confirm this?
I have an XC60 D5 2012

Just a software fix on mine. The latest currently available is from 2018.

There is one more update on the way but is now well overdue. I think it was due in week 22 and we are now in week 46?

they have to have a screen on hand as there is a slight possibility the update could corrupt the screen .. covered by volvo last time I heard . but clarify it ..

I have just updated my 2016 XC60 to the latest maps. Was so easy download the update to usb then stick usb into usb port click ok to start the update and over a couple of days or an hour and a half roughly system was updated no having to press exit and try again the system did it straight off
Guess I was so lucky

Only thing still doesnt show my house number

Correct. I've since been told it's due early next year.....

Default Sensus software upgrade

Just been thinking about updating the maps. It says on the Volvo site I need to visit the dealer first to update the software. roughly how much would I expect to pay?
