2002 V70 D5 SE Spares or Repair
2002 V70 D5 SE (manual gearbox) for sale, spares or repair. Showing 122k miles.
Reason it's spares or repair are as follows - 1. Major problems with the electrics, mainly - radio, seat-belt anchor sensors, heated front seats, front 12V sockets, headlamp levellers and headlamp wash/wipe all inoperative. Suspect CEM may be to blame as radio and DIM have both been swapped out. 2. SRS Service warning light on and cannot be reset - may be connected to the above. Will fail next MoT unless this can be fixed. 3. Front suspension emitting a lot of banging and knocking noises. May just be bushes/drop links. 4. Car occasionally refuses to start. Suspect sticky starter motor. Will start eventually. When it DOES start, it runs and drives OK (240 mile round trip to Scarborough yesterday with no problems) and will return about 45mpg with careful driving. Bodywork and interior in good condition. All major electrics (dash/headlights/wipers/windows/air-con/rear-view mirror/interior lights/indicators) work fine. Taxed to January 2014, MoT runs out in about three weeks. Can't be bothered with it anymore but someone may have the time/resources to put it right. Serious offers around £1500 (I paid £4K for it 12 months ago so I'm taking a hell of a knock on it). Car in Burnley, Lancs. 07527 887700 for details. |
