Default GWR Certificate - Meet & Greet

Sunday 28th November we battled the weather to attend the Yorkshire Air Museum for a meet hosted by VOLVO600 Veterans group....sadly the museum was closed due to the icy conditions.

With close contacts with Elvington Airfield next door, Plan B was implemented and we were allowed on the Airfield. The Official Guinness World Record Certificate was there so Plan B turned into a Certificate Meet & Greet event.

A brilliant day was had by all, despite the bitter wind and treacherous ice we spent the next few hours taking photos and generally having a good laugh.

Similar events will be held up and down the country over the following months, giving folk the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Certificate.

A small selection of photos taken yesterday from the following Flickr album:

Yes shame about the museum, but understandable with the conditions.A great-if cold-day out all the same.Even my two great granddaughters enjoyed it despite the fact they were looking forward to seeing the planes upclose.

Default GWR Certificate at Claytons of Mansfield

Saturday 18th December we headed to Claytons of Mansfield with Notts Volvo Owners for another 'Certificate Meet & Greet'. The staff at Claytons were amazing, kept us fed and watered with mince pies and coffees throughout the cold & foggy afternoon...lovely hospitality at this Volvo Service Centre.

A few pics from the following album: Claytons Meet & Greet
