I bought mine for £600, about 6 week later it was written off when a BMW rear ended me. The 3rd party insurer paid and after telling them I needed a 1997 or 1998 fairly high trim level in good nick they offered me £1500 for it. They knew it had over 165k on it! (I did buy it back and fix it). But I will be looking for a policy with a agreed valuation in the future.
