Hi again Simon,
I've downloaded the patch and opened it to the destination above.

In XPpro via VMware in Windows 10 I'm still getting the default to the Volvo web login with request for username and password even after a reboot - I'll try the download on the other two platforms. If they too fail then I'll try a restore point prior to the failure date with a "spoofed" date tag if that fails I'll try a full delete/clean etc and then go for a clean re-install all round which should correct any damage that may have been done to the OSs by a registration clean-up.

Not at all.
Just exit Vida, install the patch which in turn reboots Vida and you're done.
No restart required.

hi id be interested in buying one of these in the coming weeks but i have a few questions as i would need to buy everything involved

does it need win7 pro to run?

can i run it on any old laptop specs?


once i have it is it necessary to never to hook it the computer to the internet again

I only provide Vida 2014d so no, see above.

You'll need the internet initially then you can isolate it from the internet indefinitely.

Hi Guys,
I have a question about Vida 214D - which I did not buy here (just wanted to be clear - I have not purchased from the OP and so this should not reflect on him in any way).

I put a fresh install of Windows 7 pro on a laptop, installed IE9 and then installed Vida.
I disconnected the wifi and the vida listener icon is showing a green light.
I installed the patch.
When I start Vida All In One I get the web page showing the login screen (I believe that you enter the number 1 as the user ID) - however, I can't enter anything into the text box.
The cursor is flashing away in the text box but no matter what I press nothing appears - so I can't login.

Any ideas? it might just be a browser setting but I'm shooting in the dark.

the normal user name is admin.

In my experience if you have the wrong browser installed it doesn't even load the login screen so I think you're ok on that front.
