Default MP3/ipod jack point

I have a 2005 xc90 and this has the high performace sound stereo.
I have seen that the later models have a mp3,ipod jack point in the center console.
Can this be added to mine in anyway.
Do Volvo sell any attacthment like this so I can add a ipod or is it the usual dension/parrott alternatives I have read about on the forum.
Cheers in advance.
Matt

I think it's only possible to use the Volvo ipod kit on '07 and newer cars.
I've just got a used Dension 500 off ebay for just over £100 so l'm looking forward to trying that. Installation looks a little scarey but we'll see what happens.
A freind has the Parrot and, although pretty good, I don't think it uses the cars amps so the sound quality isn't as good - the the reversing sensors don't work while music is being played through it.
I've put a Dension 100 on our Golf and it's great.

Mine has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack in the centre console ebtween the front seats which is plumbed into the Auxiliary input of the stereo, iPod Nano plugs into it and sounds great - not that I use it much.

I bought a standard male-male lead from a local shop and use that, works fine.

100 pounds sounds a bargain. What model have you bought. Let us know how the install goes.
