Default Manual with pictures

Hi,

After looking around on the net I found the manual with pictures that I used when I cleaned mine.

The text is in Dutch, but the pictures speak for them self.

Dear Fabianf,
I have similar problem with stepper motor, the rest of installation seems to be ok. Where did You bought your stepper motor? Is it new part or used? How much did You paid?
Have You found any used parts?
In my country new part costs more than 300 pounds, and it is to much in my opinion.
Looking forward for Your quick reply.

Hi!

I bought the steppermotor at www.verdampere.nl in the Netherlands. I think i've paid € 190,- if I remember correct.

Goodluck!

Cheers,
Fabian

Default LPG - Help!!!!

Morning All, I am new and just joined up It is really great to see and know that there are so many proud Volvo Owners. I have a S80 2003 bi-fuel and as others have said the LPG refuses to switch over so I am going to try Fabian's good advice and see what happens. With Many Sincere Thanks to Fabian and everyone else..hopefully this will sort out the problem. However, before it started to cut out..I noticed a strong smell of the gas seeping into the car..the kids always complained and thought that I had farted...Cheeky lots! Hahaha. I have translated the Dutch wordings which Fabian kindly shared with all..but of course the Photos are self-explanatory.

Link is here again and translations refers to the photos in order

[SIZE="5"][SIZE="6"][FONT="Arial"][SIZE="7"]1. Lately drove my bi-fuel a little jerky. Probably the piston of the gas is occasionally rough weather and / or distributor dirty inside. Short time for an overhaul.
Alex has once written a nice topic http://www.volvo-forum.nl/viewtopic.php?t=9050 and I would like to supplement my experiences. Incidentally, the very first time I let the gas cleaning by Kees van verdampere. He got me to show her how nice it is done, so now I have been able to do it yourself. It is not difficult in itself, but you should keep a few things in mind.

First you order an overhaul kit with a familiar face: P
Then disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
Then remove the fan wired separately.

Now you find a nice piece of wood plywood to prevent damage to the radiator

2. The gas distributor is at the very bottom and you will be very hard for. Why is that there? no idea. Perhaps it has to do with safety (adequate ventilation in case of leakage)
3. At the gas is a bracket with two bolts attached to the intake manifold. Thing is to first turn the two nuts before removing. The hoses This is a difficult job. With a wrench, you only get made hard work. A ring spanner with ratchet is however recommended!
4. Now you can get started with loosening the hose. Note the cylinder numbering on the hoses
5. (Double Photo) Below dismantled the gas. Use the panacea "brake cleaner" to remove dirt deposits
6. Remove the stepper motor. Do this very slowly because otherwise the spring jumps out. On the stepper motor is a plastic plunger. The piston goes up and down in a plastic sleeve with V-shaped grooves in the cylinder. The reciprocating piston is the amount of gas flow by squeezing off. The v-grooves
7. Now the hardest part of the whole job is: shock: The plastic cylinder (bus) should look like. I have the whole doordrengt with penetrating oil before removing the cylinder. This is done as follows. Take an allen wrench that fits nicely into the hole that sits just below the ball in the cylinder. Wind is quite a cloth around it to prevent damage. Shoot out at
8. Double Photo - With a big rod can cylinder (bus) pull out. With me went the extra stiff, because the O-rings are trying to Rullen or cut into the aluminum housing.I was so glad that thing came loose: onfire:
9 Then turn the housing/unit upside down and you can detach the bottom.
10. Use brake cleaner and compressed air to make good all parts and blow. I have a bicycle pump is used (where fathers can not be good for. Hehe) itself
11. With a feeler buddy you can use the V-grooves clean gently and thoroughly. This is often part of the problem of running irregularly. Then the new O-rings and cylinder assembly places again.
12. Note the location of the pellet. In the house is also an aluminum ring. This does not forget
13. Finally you can have a cleaning strainer that is in the haakste link with the supply hose.
14. Voila the final result below. .
15. Even now build everything back. Success!

I will keep you informed of the outcome. Regards to all
