yes, they should fit all xc90's. mine is 2006 with non colour coded. i was going to get them nearly 4 yrs ago when i changed to 255 wide wheels/tyres, but was put off by cost as Volvo wanted best part of £400-500 for them fitted. The black looks okay to fit, don't know if it would be a direct match to your black though. Worst case scenario, if they is a difference, spend £15 on paint, then spray and fit them.

No imediate rush though - so don't worry - let me know.

cheers
Ian

i haven't got the xc90 with me at the moment, so i'm unable to check mine for size/location.

ian, did the glue come in the box with yours? i haven't looked all the way in mine yet.

mine is graphite grey so i'll try and pick up a couple of cans, so i can do a few coats over them. i probably won't get a chance to do these for a couple of months, so if you do yours, you'll have to load up pics.
I have just bought a set. For 25 pounds, worth a punt. Having done some work under the arches recently, any idea what size the rivets are? My standard (albeit limited) set didn't hold the panels together, either too big or too small or too short, so used a plastic panel clip instead. Thanks.

Hi Ian,

I've just spoken with them. They said they wouldn't do it, as they only do Mini/BMW/Ferrari/Porsche/Lambo/Lotus/Maseratti and wouldn't like to try and match the paint code and get it wrong. They reckon it could take 3-4 attempts to match it and it could get expensive.

I'm going to find out who my local dealer uses for paint, and find out from them how much, and i have in the past used a guy in Witney Auto-Paint Uk who did a great job on a Celica 7 years back so might see if he is still going.

will report back when i have more.

Mine turned up today. Mostly unpainted, some small areas of metallic black on the backs but otherwise uncoated plastic. Didn't come with the fixing kit though. I am at my local Volvo dealer in the morning so will see if the kit can be bought separately and I'll also see if I can get some paint while I am there in preparation for fitting the new smooth items. Then need to think about the lower door and sill trims, whether to paint, leave or replace with running boards.

the ebay seller has only got 2 sets left, so you might want to contact him before he sells these to see if he can forward on the fixing kit.

Hi Ian, and all others,

I called into a body shop yesterday, and the guy reckons between £35-40 per arch whether i had 4 or 8 done at the same time, as they need to be rubbed back and then sprayed up....(mrs StuT4 is not going to be amused)...

on the back of this, i am going to prep and spray them myself after i've got some paint from the local dealer. Good luck to all others that try.

I decided against this adventure, i've always thought sprayed pastic never seems to match very well at all and always find an excuse to peel at some point!

i had the same thoughts, but as i managed to sucessfully spray (and its stayed good) a washer cover 3 years back, i thought i'd give it a shot. Admitedly its a different kettle of fish, but as they say 99% of it is preparation, so i'll see how it goes, if it goes well i'll then fit em, otherwise may have to have a 2nd thought of having it done professionally.
