volvo v40 idle problems
i wonder if any of u can help I have a 2001 v40 GDI i changed the battery and the idle went wrong (400 rpm) i cleaned the throttle body revs went to (2500) sent the throttle body off for refurb to BBA new idle valve, TPS and everything (local mechanic fitted it), still the same (2500rpm) replace air mass meter with another unit reved high (3400rpm) put old unit on it dropped back to 2500 rpm no fault codes are present although when you put your foot under the accelerator pedal it revs drop but this is by force and have to do it all the time no carpet stopping pedal losing the will its to good to scrap but unless i can pin point problem may not be financially viable shame as it has all the extras and unmarked leather interior can any body help.

Don't know that much but i am a new Gdi owner myself, had trouble after swapping my battery as i did not follow the reset procedure herehttp://www.pocuk.com/forums/wap/thre...topic_id=32864 I've just done an EGR clean and also have rough running but hope its just learning the clean settings. Hope you haven't spent money needlessly but the upside is once you get it right it should be sweet. Just want to add if/when it stalls during reset just keep restarting and don't quit.
