I don't understand electronics, I use spanners and hammers😀 .
I used to have an mg zt and that kept throwing error codes, that turned out to be the battery apparantly they are sensitive to the battery condition. I hope it's the same story here, ive spent more on the car recently than the wife.

Keep it that way.
I found that that was the secret to a long and happy divorce.

I've got the same in my XC70.. If it takes a little while to start it fires up this message but will be fine when I use it for a while and then come up again when it's been standing idle for a few days.

Doves in Croydon want £120 + vat just to do some diagnostics!

Is it worth having the battery changed first to see if it goes away?

The message has been coming up intermittently for the last 2 months and the parking brake works fine...

Can anyone recommend a decent VOLVO independent in the Croydon area please?

Id recommened you get the battery tested by halfords or your local MOT centre. They should be able to tell you whether or not you need to change the battery.

Will get it tested on the morrow. Will halfords be able to replace it and would it have to be matched to the car?

They'd be able to supply anf fit a replacement but it may be more expensive than sourcing one yourself.
