Default Pre FL headlamps - grey / black

Hi!
From my understanding, pre-FL headlamp were available in 2 flavors:
- grey beziel for V50
- black beziel for S40
Am I right saying that the beziel colour is the ONLY difference?

Asking, as I may be getting set of new headlamps and was thinking to get black ones instead of my stock greys, but need to double check if Im right about it
thanks

Yep, that's the only difference. Straight swap (fitted black ones to my V50). Obviously there are halogen and xenon versions of both colours.

Yeah the S40 had black headlamp surrounds and the black egg-crate radiator grille, apart from that and the obvious rear end difference the cars were identical.

Thanks

I have imagined myself another light-related project so I thought, while im getting new ones anyway, I may get black ones instead of grey. Think it will look better, will see.

If project is successful, will make sure to share around :]

I like the eybrew aswell, but would make it much narrower myself (what did you use - DIY or ready product?)

on a sidenote - your car looks deadly on this lowered suspension and with those wheels

Cheers mate! Eyebrows are just vinyl. Initially I did them a bit higher but looked so much better how I've done then, and didn't get in the way of the dipped beam either!

Cool. and let me ask - how did you get the S40 lamps? OEMs from breakyard or new aftermarket ones?
I am in the hunt for ones myself but aftermarket ones are cr*p, used OEMs are usually in terrible state, damaged or scratched worse than mine, and I really prefer to keep both my kidneys so new OEMs are out of equasion...
