Not sure how that can be connected to blocked dpf.

Take a look at post 8 how to test DPF and circuit faults.

Well that code definitely relates to a full DPF. Out of interest, how did you establish that it was empty? VIDA will only be telling you what it reads from the car so if the Car thinks the filter is full, so will VIDA.

Yes vida said the ash content was low...
This morning i have removed the dpf sensor and rodded out the dpf metal tubes with carb cleaner and some brake cable, i have also changed the fuel filter and filled the dof with dpf cleaning foam (i couldnt find liqui moly) i used a pt powertec instead, just letting that snk in for a couple of hours antvtry another test drive......

if VIDA reported it was clear after the regen and the Car is saying it’s full again I suspect it may have filled up again :-/

Hopefully the cleaner will have any effect but I think you are looking at a new filter PLUS solving the problem that caused the blockage which will either be oil consumption or excess fuel/in-efficient combustion.

Thanks,

Jamie

I just took it for a 50 mile motorwY drive And it drove like a dream! I was driving at over 70 2500 rpm accelerating up hills for over an hour it was great, i stopped for a coffee for 10 mins another 30 mins of motorway driving no problem. It had never driven so well since i had it for so long. I stopped again for ten mins and set off, soot filter full :-( is there a chance what i have done oil& filter change, fuel filter change, dpf foam fill up might be slowly sorting the problem out? Do you really think i need a new dpf as tge cars only done 68k?

Post 3, item number 2.

You have a hissing sound.... you have an air leak, which is causing incorrect combustion.... causing soot.

Get that sorted and I think your nearly there.

Hi guys the saga continues, swirl flaps now nice and clean and replaced, my mechanic tried to do a regen but his computer wouldnt let him, he reccommended goingbto volvo, i did that they tried a regen, it wouldnt let them do it either, and charged me £95 for the privilage, soot filter values are :

26.75g full
Ecm pressure 70hpa

They said between 1-25g of soot should regen itself (it doesnt), between 26-99g volvo can force a regen (they couldnt) over 99g = blocked.

So the face that mine is 26.75 g should mean that they should regen. Any ideas why they couldnt? They wanted to charge me another £125 for investigation work, buy that time i was ****ed off and cut my losses.

Any ideas guys?
