Want to fit invisible Front Parking Sensors
Has anybody fitted these please?
https://www.parkingdynamics.co.uk/Ve...nt-&-Rear-Pack Would just like to know if anybody’s fitted them and if they are any good plus easy to fit on a 2011 facelift R- design, bearing in mind the shape of the front bumper. |

I haven't used this actual brand of 'invisible' front sensor, but I did fit this type to my Rover 75 a few years ago.
The hardest bit of the fitting was routing the cables for power and the switch through the engine bay and into the cabin. It worked, inasmuch as it didn't miss anything, but it was annoying in that it often 'cried wolf', ie it thought it saw things when there was nothing to see. I never forgot to switch it off though, otherwise it was bleeping all the while! Would I use one again? Probably not, but ask me again after I've scraped a front corner! HTH Malcolm

I have read that these don't work in the same way as traditional ultrasonic sensors. Did some research when I got my rear sensors fitted, opted for flush ones (cost extra) which are only visible if you're really looking for them.
Apparently they need a continuous parking motion to detect obstacles, so if you stop while doing the parking manoeuvre the parking sensors sort of "lose" the obstacles and it won't see them unless you drive out and start again. Sounded poor compared to normal sensors.
