  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

You can use 5w30, but 0w30 is better oil. Particularly in cold weather, it circulates much quicker at cold temps, both are the same (within 30 grade at 100° viscosity range anyway) at operating temp.
I isnt just the cold viscosity, its the quality of the base oil too.

I guess here in the UK though that having 5w30 oil, as opposed to 0w-30 won't make that much difference because its not a particularly cold climate. Other countries have months of freezing temperatures, whereas we don't.

Hence, you -can- use it.

Myself, I dont wish to vary at the cold end of the spectrum as thats where the biggest difference is, not just at freezing temps but simply cold.
