4C service required - erratic notice
Hello
Looking for ideas on this please- my 2006 XC70 has had 4C service required popping up regularly on the dashboard. Sometimes it comes up as soon as I move away and other times it might not appear at all even after a 40 mile run. It went in to my local independent Volvo garage and the codes said that there were fault codes stored for left and right lateral sensors. They did a full SUM calibration, cleared the codes and all was OK when they took it for a test drive. They also cleared a fault with the DEM pump which was on there even though there was no ABS/Anti-Skid service required message on dash. When I collected the car, the 4C service required appeared again in about 2 miles! The Indy I use weren’t surprised and said it would be unusual for both sensors to be faulty. In addition, there is no continuous fault - just the orange triangle. Does anyone have experience of this? Could the DEM pump be triggering this? If it was a loose wire, I guess it would be somewhere where both shock wires meet otherwise only one shock absorber would register a code (wouldn’t it?!) where could I check? Any help very welcome as the car is lovely otherwise: 126,000 miles - FVSH and one owner. Thanks for your help! Last edited by The Goat; Jan 11th, 2020 at 08:30. |
