Default light blue smoke

Hi all,

I have a '99 V40 t4 auto, under load 75mph+ up hills I get light blue exhaust smoke.

apart from that she runs smooth, quiet very fast , plenty of power and performance and all vital signs are good.

have checked all turbo hoses pipes for splits holes etc, seem to be ok
not compression checked yet.

any suggestions to what can be the cause, fix solution..???

thanks
Pml

Firstly, wrong forum, here is for s40/v50 04 on. Secondly sounds like you have an oil burning problem under load, poss turbo.

Paul.

thanks,
typical, first post and got it wrong, how do I switch the post to the s40 v40 classic model thread? or do I need to re write and post it again?

the Turbo was off a few months ago and seemed to be ok tight good impellars, and play in the shaft, but yes I am definately burning oil, a fair bit of it, but this isn't reflected in the performance at all, thats why I am querying if it could be anything not so major as rings for example..
