Default c30 slow filling at pump

Just bought a c30 which goes fine. however filling with diesel is a pain with the autostop kicking in all the time so it takes an age to fill. I have searched the web and forums and this seems to be a common problem but i cannot find a definitive solution. One on the v50 siad he had a dislodged filter in the tank breather that caused the problem but nobody with a c30 has ever come up with a solution that i can find. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Does the c30 have a filter in the breather and is it easy to fix

i would think that the fuel filling system is similar or same as the v50 these cars share lots of parts.

Could be the mis fueling device in the filler neck. We had.it on the jaaag. Simply pulled it out and the problem went away.

Default C30 slow filling. The answer

I have at last found the problem of taking 20 mins to fill the tank. Its the pesky anti syphon valve. Its is pathetic little thin plastic diaphragm in an equally flimsy little plastic holder about an inch diameter. Disc becomes detatched and blocks fill pipe. My local garage extracted it for the princely sum of £100,00. Cheap at the perice for getting rid of the most annoying problem. Apparently it is also a common problem on the Ford Focus
So all you people complainuing about slow fill get to your local garage and get the thing taken out

Default Can’t refuel ?!

I can’t get petrol into my XC40. Nozzle cuts out every 10p worth of petrol that goes in. Assume it’s a blockage or airlock. Does anyone know the self help fix please ?
