1st year service last week identified that sensor "binnacle" is dethatching itself from the windscreen, causing the wiper rain sensor misread and the wipers to go mental.

New windscreen is being fitted tomorrow to hopefully rectify the issue

Was it the whole unit that was coming loose? My car is the same age and spec as yours, I have noticed recently not only the wipers acting psychotically but also the adaptive cruise seems to be picking up vehicles in the inside lane more, something it never used to do with me in the outside lane, almost like the radar is not looking dead ahead? Its in for its first service in a fortnight so will get them to check its adhesion.

I asked when I picked it up last night. The sensors were apparently refusing to stick and detaching themselves from the screen. I had not noticed anything different with the adaptive cruise myself, but not really done many motorway miles since Christmas to notice.

Fantastic job on the screen - cannot tell it has been replaced. Only driven it back from garage, so not tested PA2, and ACC only briefly, but sensors all appear ok. there was a light rain, and wipers activated occasionally rather than engaging "turbo-wipe-mode", so it looks like things are sorted.

Hope yours gets sorted at its service.
