122s and 1800s cars here in the US could have had dealer-installed Frig-I-King (manufactured in Texas) air conditioners installed by the dealer before or after delivery.

What about in the UK and Europe, did Volvo offer a dealer installed system?

In the UK we were offered door mounted air conditioners.
Rarely were they used

Dont think so - they are extremely rare.

In all the Volvo meetings i have been to, since 1981 have I only seen one car overhere with aircon.

Well as some of you saw in the thread, about my 1962 Amazon, did I move garage last year.
This meant that my 122 also saw daylight again.

After several hours of work, and the sale of my 62, did she finally emerge from her 19 years of hybernation =
